Candidacy Data and Qualifications:
-
I want to serve all people in Evergreen through "the power of play." Play consists of those enjoyable activities that we all do outside of working hours.
-
Play fosters human growth through the building of self-esteem, strengthens family relations, builds individual independence, makes all of us better problem solvers and develops life long relationships with others.
-
I support the expansion of opportunities for more play by building and renovating facilities, reaching additional youth with more programs, creating new programs for families and adults and expanding services to new groups of Evergreen people with recreational needs.
-
The Power of Play enriches and enhances individual mind, body and spirit.
-
How does this theme of play translate into meaningful results: A new field house at Buchanan, youth baseball/softball fields at Marshdale, dirt bike parks for kids, eight pickle ball courts in the southern portion of the district, support efforts to build a dog park and even more!
Plato: "Life must be lived as play."
